GRAPHIC DESIGNER at Mountainbrook Church
Generation Now Magazine
LAYOUT DESIGN / TYPOGRAPHY STYLING / PRINT DESIGN
I designed a 22-page magazine for a non-profit organization affiliated with the church called Generation Now. The organization distributed this magazine to potential donors to inform them of its mission and vision. I was able to use my knowledge of designing for print to carefully curate spreads.
Blog Book
LAYOUT DESIGN / TYPOGRAPHY STYLING / PRINT DESIGN / CUSTOM ART
I created a 52-page saddle-stitched book for Becky Olmstead, a pastor at the church. I designed the book to hold her online blog posts and create a cohesive vision for her stories and reflections. I was inspired by Morgan Harper Nichols’ art and poem pieces.
Sermon Series Graphics
LAYOUT DESIGN / TYPOGRAPHY STYLING / DESIGN FOR VARIOUS MEDIUMS
Mountainbrook Church starts a new sermon series every month. I collaborated with the Creative Director to establish a vision for the series and design to elevate the story. When the designs were approved by the Creative Director, I distributed the visuals to different mediums: the bulletin, posters, social media, and website posts. I learned to keep different outputs in mind as I brainstorm and design concepts for both digital and print collateral.
Mountainbrook Women’s Merch
TYPOGRAPHY STYLING / BRAND IDENTITY
I collaborated with the Communications Director, Creative Director, and the head of the Women’s Ministry at Mountainbrook to bring their vision to life for new women’s merchandise. I created variations of a logo with the women’s ministry mission statement. It was placed on a sweatshirt, t-shirt, and tote bag for the women that attended the Hume Lake retreat.
